Sue Looney started Body Wellness 23 years ago, Sue has an very extensive massage training background. Sue has trained world wide for her training, traveling to such places as Sweden, Italy, Finland, Hawaii, Mexico just to name a few, as well as traveling the USA, Sue continues to take classes to further her training.
Sue has had the great opportuntity to have been trained by some of the world's best massage instructors, in which that alone has opened many doors for Sue and her career. Sue has been invited many times to work on the Olympic athlete's for both summer and winter games. Since 1999 Sue has been one of 150 massage therapists that work on the triathlete's who participate in the Ironman Triathlete World Championships held in Kailua Kona Hawaii every October, she is also one of a five man team for acute cramp care section of the triathlon. Since 2007 Sue decided to extend her knowledge further and became an EMT. Sue now is a medic for the Ultraman World Championships as well as one of the massage therapists, and now extends her therapies to the medical side of the Ironman Triathlon as well.
In 2012 Sue had to step back from working as an EMT to concentrate all of her efforts to her growing business. Sue has been a Massage Instructor for Total Health Works Massage School since 2000, and has been a guest instructor for Butler County Community College's massage therapy program.
If that were not enough, Sue has now partnered with Alicia Dale, and together they are opening a Therapeutic Massage School. Body Wellness Academy of Massage, LLC will start classes January 2018. For more information on the school please visit www.bwellacademy.com
Though Sue is very knowledagble about triathlons and sports massage don't let that fool you into thinking she only works on athlete's. Sue takes that knowledge and is able to use that with anyone that walks in her doors, many times helping those who doctor's have told there wasn't anything that could be done for their discomfort and that they would have to live with the pain.
